Co-operation with our customers

Our premise for client projects is that at the close of the project, our clients should be able to maintain and update the application we have provided for them without having to resort to outside assistance. In addition to owning the application, our clients own the tools designed to maintain and update it.

The client projects in which we have been involved are based on co-operation in the different stages of the project. Continuous co-operation is an important factor in guiding our joint project towards better serving the needs of our client, even during the project's development phase.

Intensive, continuous communication is the carrying force behind a client project. HCI Productions Oy always designates one person as being principally responsible for a given client project, and that person is also responsible for our project to the client.

In wide customer projects we undertake usually the following phases:
  • 1. The assessment of a real need for the application
  • 2. Mapping existing material and content
  • 3. Interviewing the future users of the application
  • 4. Conditions determined by the information system solutions of client
  • 5. Defining and documenting the information structure
  • 6. The provision of guidebooks and production manuals
  • 7. The production of pilot material
  • 8. Transferring training and learning contents into the application
  • 9. Documenting the project
  • 10. Training of administrative users, tutors and end-users.
Our experience also shows that in many organizations the key hurdles are not linked to education, development or training function, but are rather based on organizational issues.
